Maybe so… at least, sat here on a sunny morning in Oxley Park, with the estate feeling quiet and bright, it feels like we may really, nearly, be there.
We now only have a handful of outstanding items. Sure, some of them seem quite big, some seems quite mysterious and apparently very hard to solve, but it feels like, ALMOST two years in, we’re finally approaching a point where we can just settle in and get on with living in our Oxley Woods home.
So there’s a couple of hurdles and no doubt stumbling blocks to be negotiated yet, but we’re almost there.
It’ll be amazing when we finally arrive!
We visited the development last week as we are moving down from Bolton due to work, the houses looked fantastic and really grabbed our attention, however having been through all the comments on this website now have doubts could you let us know if these doubts are realistic of are the houses as exciting as they appear ?
The houses have had what I feel is an unacceptable amount of problems, our house being one of the worst affected, but far from alone.
However, the newly built houses have most of the amended design and build features we now have retrofitted to our property in order to resolve those issues. To the best of my knowledge aside from the “usual” snagging bits and bobs, the most recently built properties have no more trouble than any other new build house may have.
There’s nothing else like these houses around, the neighbours and neighbourhood is great, and it’s a bright, friendly feeling place.
